What Data We Collect
Quiz Responses
When you take our cognitive quiz, we collect your answers and the resulting Brain Age score. This data is used to provide you with your results and is not linked to your identity unless you proceed to purchase.
Purchase & Checkout
When you purchase the Personalized Cognitive Toolkit, we collect:
- Your email address (for order confirmation and PDF delivery)
- Your personalization answers (names of people important to you, hobbies, interests), used to generate your personalized puzzles
- Standard order details (product, amount, date)
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address. Our newsletter system runs on our own servers in Norway. You can unsubscribe at any time, and your email is deleted immediately upon opting out.
How We Use Your Data
Personalized Puzzle Generation
To create your personalized puzzles, your personalization answers (hobbies, interests, names) are sent to our technology partner Anthropic, which generates puzzle content tailored to you.
This data is sent to Anthropic without any personal identifiers. Your email address, IP address, and payment details are never included. The personalization answers are processed in batches alongside other requests, with no way for Anthropic to link them back to you. The actual connection between your identity and your personalization data only exists on our servers in Norway.
Payment Processing
Payment is handled by our payment provider. The payment provider may collect additional information as part of their checkout flow (such as billing address or phone number), subject to their own terms and privacy policy. Your personalization answers and quiz data are never sent to the payment provider. Your email address is never shared with payment providers for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use cookies for session management and checkout functionality. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce additional cookie types in the future, we will update this policy and notify you accordingly.
Analytics
We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that is fully GDPR-compliant. Fathom collects only anonymous, aggregated data. No tracking cookies are set, and no personal data is collected by our analytics.
Data Sharing
Your email address is never shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose beyond what is described in this policy.
The only external parties that process any of your data are:
- Our payment provider, which receives only what is necessary to process your payment (no personalization data or quiz results)
- Our technology partner Anthropic, which receives only anonymized personalization answers (no identifiers attached)
Data Location
All data processing happens on Norwegian servers hosted by JCloud. Norway operates under some of the strictest data protection regulations in the world, fully compliant with the GDPR through the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Data Retention
- Order data is retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Norwegian bookkeeping law (bokføringsloven).
- Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your email is deleted immediately.
- Quiz data from anonymous (non-purchasing) visitors is not stored long-term.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction: request corrections to inaccurate data
- Deletion: request deletion of your data (where no legal obligation prevents it)
- Unlinking: request that your personal data be unlinked from order records
